The hotel was well-located, on the Buda side, a short walk from Margit Bridge and well-connected for trams. (There was a little 24-hour supermarket at Margit Hid tramstop.) The reception staff were polite and helpful. I especially appreciated that the guy on reception invited me behind the counter to use the hotel's computer for printing out my flight check-in papers. The room was adequate for my needs; there was en-suite toilet and shower, working AC, minibar and TV (with a few channels in the main European languages). If you rent a bike - as I did - the hotel allows you to store it by the stairs opposite reception, which feels very safe. There was access to the pools at the back of the hotel. (See below.)
The two small rugs in the room had seen better days and I really felt like throwing them out! The breakfast was a very basic minimum and it was impossible to get a smile out of those that provided it. The online info for the hotel gave me the impression that there was full and easy access to the swimming pools but in reality access-hours were limited and, even though the pools were right outside, you had to go round the block to the baths entrance and show a card in order to be allowed in. I was also unlucky that the main pool was empty of water throughout my week's stay although they appeared to have filled it when I was leaving! Ha ha!

Location, light and swimming pools.
Of the advertised pools only small one was available for limited times, while larger pool is closed for (summer?) maintenance. This is stated on neither Booked.net nor hotel websites..... quite misleading....

Everything was great, marvellous location just next door to Margit island and famous Parliament building as well as trams 4 and 6, exceptional staff. Enjoyed the neat room for a dresser or tables next to the bed and the way it was setup. An electric kettle and a fridge were provided👌

Positive point of the hotel is the staff. They speak fluently English and German and they are very helpful. Hotel and rooms are clean.
Positive point of the hotel is the staff. They speak fluently English and German and they are very helpful. Hotel and rooms are clean. The comments related to the tramway are true. If your room is on the street’s side then keep in mind that you’ll not going to sleep a lot. Everything trembles when it passes! Fortunately, I was on the other side but I still had some problems. In the first room the heating wasn’t working so they gave me another room. In the second one the door wasn’t working and the lock had to be changed. I couldn’t use the swimming pool as the water was not heated at all. The rooms are really small not mentioning the bathrooms. Breakfast is just poor. But the most unpleasant surprise was with the payment. If you pay by credit card the hotel uses its own exchange rate which is a lot higher then the official rate. I paid 20 euros more then I should have because of this. Instead of a compensation for the issues I paid this abusive rate exchange. Pay directly in euros!! I will not recommend this hotel.
